1.0 INTRODUCTION

MVPROMs user friendly commands and intelligent algorithms mean faster and
easier programming.  Generally fewer operations are required compared with
other programmers.  It runs under DOS and WINDOWS 98.  2764 through 27080
CMOS, EEPROM, FLASH, and NVRAM are supported.  MVPROM is the only
programmer software capable of automating procedures with Microsoft
compatible script capability (<).  Applications include PC BIOS chips,
EPROMs for the Single Board Computer, and appliance firmware upgrades. 
Program file, Display data, Erase check, Address offset, and Save to disk
are a few of the commands available.

These are general categories since actual part numbers are too numerous to
list here.  If you wish to use devices not currently on the list contact
MVS.  We will upgrade the software to support the new device if possible.

The type of device is specified in the command line (i.e.  "mvprom 29f040")
or click on the WINDOWS icon.  If type of chip is changed while MVPROM is
running use the "t" command.  Don't forget jumpers! General Programming
commands are as follows:

Command sequences can also be entered from a script file using the DOS
re-direction feature.  Although it is common to use the technique with
DEBUG and EDLIN, very few PROM programmers have this capability.  





                         LIMITED WARRANTY 

MVS will repair free of charge product suffering from manufacturing defects
for a period of 5 years after shipping.  This will be done only if it has
been determined by MVS that the product has not been misused (improper
voltages, physical alteration, etc.).  Otherwise a minimum service charge
is required.  In either case it is necessary to contact MVS for a Returned
Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before shipping the unit.
